iWorld offers Stereo Boom Bags

Posted on 18 April 2008 by BabyReaps

If you have a penchant for all things retro, then the NGC Stereo Boom Bags from iWorld will definitely fit the bill. In addition to providing you with an instant time travel moment back to the 80s with old school designs, these bags feature integrated FM radio sets along with a pair of speakers to terrorize the rest of the folk sitting in the same train carriage as you. Alternatively, you can spare them the pains of Britney Spears by using the included 3.5mm jack. The sound quality definitely isn’t much to shout about, but it ought to be enough for a casual day out with friends and family. Choose from “Tape Deck” and “DJ Mixer” designs, where either one will retail for £18.99.

Would You Pay $2,350 for an iPod Dock?

Posted on 11 April 2008 by techiediva

Who needs a regular iPod dock, when you can get one covered in coral that eliminates unnecessary vibrations? I spotted this glitzy dock over at Dvice which is available in both black and white, and supports the coveted iPod Touch, as well as its older siblings. The high-end iPod dock features a USB port, analog outputs, and S-Video on the back, so you can plug in other gizmos back there. There’s no denying, this dock is pretty sweet, but who can afford the $2,350 price tag that comes with it?

BD Touch Technology from NetBlender

Posted on 10 April 2008 by Cat

NetBlender has BD Touch technology that will work directly with BD Live and allow your iPhone or iPod Touch to interact with your Blu-ray player. BD Touch would utilize the geo location features of your iPhone, the 3D sensors and easy to use QWERTY keyboard to enhance your experience. This opens doors for you to enjoy a large amount of data trading between your gadgets.

You could keep detailed lists of your Blu-ray collection and get movie suggestions that match your taste. While the movie is playing, trivia and extra information about the movie can be displayed. Games and other features could definitely enhance things for you as well. All of these things can happen as the Blu-ray is playing.

Also, your iPhone can be morphed into a lovely remote control for your Blu-ray player and keep things easily controlled from afar as you enjoy your collection. It works over a WiFi connection, so no matter where you are located, if you have that, you can enjoy BD Touch technology fairly easily.

For a versatile case that won’t let you down, look up the Titan Clear for the iPhone. It’s not just clear though, you can get this pretty little case in a few colors including pink and smoke (as pictured). Eco-Speakers for earth lovers

Posted on 09 March 2008 by BabyReaps

Check out Fashionation’s Eco-Speakers that measure a mere 3.25″ in height, width and depth. These speakers are green in nature, so all you Greenpeace activists out there will be able to pick up a pair in peace. In addition to being tiny, they are also lightweight and follow Ikea’s flat packing principle, capable of being folded flat for extra portability. You will be able to choose from various colors and patterns, and best of all is you don’t have to lug around additional batteries since the Eco-Speakers will draw power from your portable media player. Sound quality isn’t all that great though, as one can expect from a speaker of such caliber. The Eco-Speakers are priced from $9.99 to $14.95, depending on where you pick it up.

Fred 500XL PC speakers

Posted on 05 March 2008 by BabyReaps

Novelty speakers alway give me a good laugh, but unfortunately, they don’t sound as funny/great as they look. I guess that is the general rule of thumb, and the Fred 500XL PC Speakers fare no differently. What you get is a pair of blown-up iPod white earbuds that are meant to hook up to your MP3 player or PC. It comes with an integrated amplifier with 3-way power for a slightly more heavyweight sound, but it definitely won’t blow you away like those dedicated computer sound systems from the likes of Klipsch and Logitech. The Fred 500XL PC speakers can be powered via batteries or USB, and will retail for $36.99.

MP3 Player Case

Posted on 27 February 2008 by BabyReaps

Here is yet another iPod case to join a gazillion others that have already been released to date. I think this is one of the most profitable lines of accessories ever, and this time the MP3 Player Case fits your iPod (and other MP3/PMPs as long as they are small enough to fit in) snugly within, boasting a variety of bright shades for you to choose from. Constructed from stainless steel hardware, you get an external headphone jack to listen to your player which is protected within, although you do lose the ability to control which song you want to listen to without opening up the MP3 Player Case. The included earphones are water resistant, but I guess this works only in a drizzle and is not meant for you to take it on your diving expeditions. The MP3 Player Case retails for $45 each.

Give your iPod touch some wood

Posted on 20 February 2008 by BabyReaps

Wooden furniture is always nice to look at, as it lends a sense of warmth to the surrounding environment. Unfortunately, most of our gadgets are made out of cold metal and plastic that pretty much sums up how society is like these days. For those who want to introduce some friendliness into their everyday gadgets, here’s a pretty interesting offering. This iPod touch case is handcrafted out of wood (cedar and mahogany to be exact) and it comes complete wiwth intricate details such as inlays, dovetails and mortised lids. Once you’re bored of your design, you can always use it as firewood, fertilizer, or even food for your pet termite colony.

Posted on 13 February 2008 by BabyReaps

Trying to stay fit after gorging yourself silly over the holiday season? Cycling is a great activity to indulge yourself in if you want to win the battle of the bulge, but cycling without having some form of encouragement isn’t my cup of tea. Enter the Bicycle MP3 amplifier that is fitted onto your handlebars, where two AA batteries power it as you get to share your favorite songs with the rest of the people on the road. Good thing this is waterproof as well, since your precious MP3 player stored within will be kept safe, away from rain and other moisture.

Soltronix Solar Headset

Posted on 08 February 2008 by BabyReaps

Check out this Soltronix Solar Headset that features bendy solar panels and an integrated radio, all crammed into the headset itself. Perfect for those who want to catch up with the news while spending a great deal of time outdoors - as long as there is daylight, anyways. I guess the older generation will appreciate this more than younger ‘uns who tends to get their latest news from RSS feeds and the ilk on their BlackBerries and iPhones. This nickel cadmium-free pair of headphones retail for £24.99 a pop.
