Designer Jörg Schieber has come up with these LED lights for German company Chameledeon. They are pretty much minimalist in nature, featuring a remote switch and cycle capability that goes through 16 different colors, allowing you to relax in your couch without having to get up and change its settings. I don’t know about you, but I still prefer to have traditional soft lighting in my home compared to all these snazzy new releases. After all, cycling lights don’t really make for conducive reading, but more of a party mood. For those who think like me, there is a single color white model. The Chameledeon lights will come in 71cm, 102cm and 139.5cm heights, depending on just how big your rabbit hole is.

What you see here is the StereoStone Fountain Speaker - definitely not one of the masterpieces you’ll find in expensively assembled gardens around the world. Nevertheless, it has a hidden function, that is being an outdoor speaker. This 40″ water fountain holds a 250-watt, 8″ dual voice-coil outdoor speaker within, where a birdbath-type bowl will collect all running water and spew it back out of the leafed-pineapple right smack in the center. For $600, this nifty Fountain Speaker will light up with submersible low voltage lighting as you rock to your favorite tunes. Be careful where you place the speaker wire though as this isn’t wireless, but it makes for a welcome addition to any garden that needs some sprucing up.

One of the things about onions I hate is this - chopping them always leaves me shedding more tears than when my dear grandpa departed. Never again with the Onion Chopping Goggles for those who love bustling about in the kitchen, cooking up culinary masterpieces for the family.
Special goggles have a foam seal to keep onion vapors out of your eyes, while anti-fog lenses let you see clearly what you’re doing. Not for use over glasses. Storage case included.
Each pair retails for $9.99 and with Mother’s Day coming up, this makes for the perfect gift from the thoughtful child. Husbands, you’d better do something than a $9.99 gift lest you be deprived of the bed at night.

We all know that heating a home takes quite a fair bit of energy, and all of these will add up at the end of the day. The Solar Powered Pool Heating Rings help raise the temperature within an average sized swimming pool by up to 3 to 4 degrees F in a week. They remain where they are, courtesy of magnet clasps that also helps prevent water evaporation during the day. I suppose if you’re rich enough to afford a swimming pool in your home, surely the traditional heating method won’t be too much of a burden on your monthly expenses? Oh yeah, I forgot - you are probably one of those tree hugging folks who drive a Prius and do not wear fur. The Solar Powered Pool Heating Rings can be picked up for $69.95 a set.

NetBlender has BD Touch technology that will work directly with BD Live and allow your iPhone or iPod Touch to interact with your Blu-ray player. BD Touch would utilize the geo location features of your iPhone, the 3D sensors and easy to use QWERTY keyboard to enhance your experience. This opens doors for you to enjoy a large amount of data trading between your gadgets.
You could keep detailed lists of your Blu-ray collection and get movie suggestions that match your taste. While the movie is playing, trivia and extra information about the movie can be displayed. Games and other features could definitely enhance things for you as well. All of these things can happen as the Blu-ray is playing.
Also, your iPhone can be morphed into a lovely remote control for your Blu-ray player and keep things easily controlled from afar as you enjoy your collection. It works over a WiFi connection, so no matter where you are located, if you have that, you can enjoy BD Touch technology fairly easily.

With homes around the world, especially in metropolitan areas getting smaller and smaller due to the fact that nobody makes land any more, it is imperative that you maximize your living space as much as possible. The Clean Cube moves toward that vision, being so small that it can be placed in an undersized dorm room - making it perfect for students who more often than not fail to wear clean clothes as they’d rather not take the trouble to go to the nearest laundry outlet. Powered by a 110 volt outlet, the Clean Cube features ventless drying and a LCD touch screen display. There is no word on pricing or availability as at press time, but hopefully it won’t be too expensive.

Many years back, the only gadget you’d think was essential to everyday life was the humble cell phone. Fast forward a decade or so, and here we are folks who cannot leave their homes without the aforementioned cell phone (or smartphone), an iPod or portable media player of choice, a handheld console (DS Lite or PSP), and perhaps even a PDA. The issue of power then comes in, and it isn’t always the case where you will be able to be in the vicinity of a power outlet. Enter the PowerCube 600 that is capable of pumping out 600 watts of power, relying on the sun to provide you with electricity thanks to its internal batteries. Unfortunately, this isn’t exactly pocket-sized and is more suitable for homes who want to pay less for their monthly power bill, as it weighs a massive 2,000 pounds. Best to leave this sitting in your garden, I’d say.

Grace Digital has a wonderful gadget named the XLink that is a cellular bluetooth gateway. It utilizes your home phone convenience and merges that with your cellular phone usage. XLink was super easy to set up and worked on my first try. I followed the simple instructions, plugged the XLink into the phone and immediately found the XLink in my Bluetooth list.
The connection was easily established and the sound was clear. It connected my cellphone with a standard cordless that I had in the house. Then, I was able to use my home phone receiver but all the calls coming into my cellphone rang into the house phone. I can see this being very practical for people with National plans that desire to call long distance with a cellphone plan but wish to use the home phone receiver.
Simple to use, very few buttons, easy to understand lights and the convenience of Bluetooth were great combinations. Caller ID and Call Waiting work just fine, so you don’t sacrifice features, here. You can also connect the XLink to your PC for more advanced use.
