BELLPERRE croc leather handsets

Posted on 24 February 2008 by BabyReaps

Crocodile skin was only good for handbags, or so I thought. BELLPERRE has upped the ante with their new and upcoming range of croc leather handsets. What’s interesting about these is the fact that the handsets feature no plastic part, and are handcrafted from premium leather, steel, gold, hardwood and various other high end materials. Since the handset is based on a modular construction model, it ensures every single one of them will be able to be tailored specifically to one’s taste and lifestyle. With more than 200 colors to choose from, you’ll probably have a field day selecting your favorite set up. BELLPERRE cell phones are built from scratch in the Netherlands, and no pricing detail has been confirmed as at press time although they ought to roll out in European markets this June.

Mobile Edge vertical messenger bag

Posted on 11 February 2008 by BabyReaps

Looks like Valentine’s Day will be greeted by Mobile Edge just in time with their new ladies vertical messenger bag known as the CuteBug Hipster. Authentic pulp icon images from the 1940s and 50s were used on the bag, along with a pair of “Lucky Seven” dice to up the style ante. Those who love vintage images on their products will definitely like the CuteBug Hipster, helping ladies stand out from the crowd and turning the tide against boring and repetitive designs. The pink Hipster model will retail for $69.99 each and is readily available while Black with Yellow trim and Green with Yellow trim colors will be rolled out later this spring.

MAGNO Wooden Radio is eco-friendly

Posted on 07 February 2008 by BabyReaps

Hopefully you won’t have a termite attack on your MAGNO Wooden Radio years down the road since it is made almost entirely out of sustainably grown wood, ditching faux wood in the process. Retailing for $275 a pop, the MAGNO radio only receives AM/FM transmission, so you can forget about hooking up any sort of MP3 player to it. I like the polished knobs and dials, but the asking price is a wee bit too high for my comfort. After all, most portable gadgets these days already come with built-in radio transmission, let alone cell phones. Get this only if you’ve run out of ideas on how to decorate your home. Ships April 1st 2008.

Eazo Luxury PCs

Posted on 05 February 2008 by BabyReaps

So you still can’t get over the fact that the Zeus computers are way out of your league? Well, if you think you’re pretty well off but not filthy rich, there are always other opportunities to flash your cash. In this case, we have luxury brand Eazo from China that marries traditional Chinese design and Western technology for a perfect computing experience. The X70 is definitely worth checking out, being powered by a 3GHz Q9550 Core 2 Quad Processor while boasting a pair of NVIDIA 8800GTX cards, 4GB RAM, liquid cooling, 7.1-channel sound - the works. Thankfully, the price is (relatively) more down to earth, retailing for $45,500 which is a bargain when compared to the Zeus line. Continue Reading

Best Valentine’s Day Geek Shirt Eva!

Posted on 31 January 2008 by techiediva

valentinesshirt.jpg

Not sure what to buy your Valentine? How about a something that literally shows him/her how they light up your life–or shirt–when they’re in the room. Think Geek got all, mushy on us with a pair of LED shirts that have a heart meter. Gamers know the lifeline meter all too well, and the 8-bit shirt is something like that. You basically buy one for yourself, and one for your lover. When he/she is near, the shirt lights up. When he/she ditches you to go play games, your little heart meter is reduced to only two and a half pixelated hearts. I guess this is supposed to remind him/her that being far from his/her loving embrace breaks your heart, or that you’re both dorks who desperately need cool friends. Whatevs, we won’t judge you, but if you want to show your true geek colors go order yours now before the rest of the geekdom discovers them.

Fashion Designers Play with Video Handbag Idea

Posted on 31 January 2008 by techiediva

100720071907062135.jpgI’m not one to keep up with fashion, but when designers send sexy models down the runway carrying mini-LCDs on their handbags, I pay attention. The Trendhunter says that during a Louis Vuitton fashion show, Marc Jacobs himself walked down the catwalk carrying a mini-trunk with an LCD screen that was playing Sponge Bob Square pants. Why? Well, Trendhunter speculates that in the future, whatever is playing on your handbag is what will be making a fashion statement. Could this be the future of mini-trunks face?

Japanese Watch Talks

Posted on 26 December 2007 by Cat

Too bad they are currently sold out.  You can look for them to return to the site, though, if you want a talking Japanese watch.  It will speak up and tell you the time in Japanese (maybe you can learn a bit while you sort through if you’re late to work or not) and keep you in the know.

In bright colors with a display of the time below the speaker, these cute watches might be just what you’re looking for.  The Fred Flare site has a wish list, too, so you can let others know how much you want one.

paulfrank-verizonIf you’re thinking that your PDA or cellphone would do well to have a case to keep it protected against knocks and scratches, then take some time to check out these spanking new offerings from Verizon Wireless. Working together with Paul Frank Industries, you will be able to choose from a PDA case, a cellphone case as well as pouches that feature Paul Frank’s classic Julius the monkey pattern, Skurvy, the skull and crossbones, and the retro helicopter pattern.
