USB Skin Sensor

Posted on 25 November 2005 by Techie Diva

Magnify your flaws with the Skin Sensor, or at least that is the message I gather from this curious USB-powered flaw magnifier.  I guess I wouldn’t mind discovering new blemishes, moles or wrinkles on my back or the top of my head. You can even IM your new findings via MSN to your dermatologist.  Surely a way to record before and after snapshots of your overlooked skin damage.  Product pageSkinsensor_1

Imako: Alternative to Snap-On-Smile

Posted on 13 November 2005 by Techie Diva

Smiling Nobody’s perfect, so if you were not blessed with perfect teeth, well only a dentist can help you there.  We reported on the Snap-on-Smile a few months back, and boy did we get some interested readers talking about it. The problem with said product was the price, which started at $1,500, a bit too expensive for my pockets. I mean, wouldn’t you rather spend that money on braces or some other cosmetic surgery?  Dr. Bukk was kind enough to alert us of this inexpensive and effective substitute, their very own IMAKO cosmetic teeth.  This cosmetic shell will only set you back about $49.95, and will turn your smile into an attractive sight to see.  IMAKO is removable, and comes with complete at home fitting instructions. It requires a bit of work on your part to do the fitting, but once done you can snap them on anytime without adhesives.  Product Page

Heated Bathrobe Stand

Posted on 10 November 2005 by Techie Diva

Robe_1 I have noticed an abundance of devices that offer to heat up your towels and your bathrobe for those chilly mornings. I hate cold weather, more than I hate waking up early. Combine those two things, and you’ll surely ruin my day. I think I might add this electric heating frame stand to my Christmas list.  Product Page $79.95

An electric heating element encosed in an enamel tube frame heats up to 115 F, and the stand is shaped to provide maximum warmth distribution throughout a robe, eliminating cool spots. It can also be used to warm towels, or to gently dry wet bathing suits or delicate lingerie. The stand accommodates men’s or women’s robes up to size XXL, and all tubing is seamlessly hand-welded. Plugs into AC. 65" H x 19" W x 17" D. (12 lbs.)

HICO for a Taller Nose

Posted on 27 September 2005 by Techie Diva

Img10131130947_1  For some, beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. For others, beauty starts with a taller nose. Here is another contraption to use right before you go to bed to make your nose taller by lifting the nose cartilage.   You only sacrifice 10 minutes a day to reshape you nose, instead of spending thousands of dollars in rhinoplasty.  The gadget is called "hanataka kyosei HICO" which means nose-tall correction. The site doesn’t mention the length of treatment or effectiveness of wearing this item.

Kiss your Boo Boos Goodbye

Posted on 08 September 2005 by Techie Diva

11472_2345_st Mama always kissed your boo boos goodbye, didn’t she? Well being that you are a grown up now, and Mama is not there anymore, you can find some comfort (in the privacy of your home) in these Hot Lips bandages. Yes, even bandages underwent a makeover this season. Now I am not sure if these are being marketed to kids or adults, but it says it comes with a free toy. Yah!  Via OhGizmo!
