Dating a new person has always been risky business. So many questions come to mind before that first date, especially if you’re meeting people at bars or through online dating sites. Intellius hopes to give singles a little piece of mind with an iPhone application called “Date Check” you can use to screen potential dates on-the-go. According to ABC News, this iPhone app has a ‘Sleaze Detector’ that scans your date’s criminal records for major things like sex offenses, assault, battery, or drug possession. If you’re more interested in your date’s net worth, the app will tell you if the person owns a home, how many rooms it has, and even its property value. Date Check also scans social networking sites for job status, education background, birth date, marital status, and other crucial information needed before taking the first step. The app will be relased this fall on the iPhone but Intellius is working on an app for the Blackberry and Android platform too. Personally, I think this is a fantastic idea, but the $40 per search is a bit of a turn off. Girls, what do you think of this application? Voice your opinion in the comments section.

This post was very helpful for me to look at the big picture. I often get lost in the small details and forget about the long-term plan. Thanks for the info! I’d like to recommend it with reference to my website http://www.pctechoutlet.com
I loved the editorial. It is very interesting.Thank you for the information
Obviously the $40 price tag is just plain silly and will limit acceptance, but I am more interested in the female background version?
Can I get a report with current and historical dosage of anti-depressants, mood stabilizers and other meds? Maybe a Google Map overlay of her dating patterns? Maybe a credit card usage report to see if she spends more on shoes than food?
Yes, I am joking a little but men and women go into dates without knowing a lot about the other person. Statically speaking, I think we are more likely to get hurt getting ready FOR and travelling TO the date than by anything the person on the side of the table will do to us. Just trying to maintain perspective for less than $40
