Sure, the iPod has dozens of accessories to choose from, but some of these are more essential than the rest. The Macally PowerTune is one of these select accessories, specially designed for the iPod Classic as well as the iPod Video. The PowerTune is but a portable speaker that does more than just throw out your favorite tunes for all and sundry to hear - it also doubles up as a battery charger as well. The goodies do not end there though, as the PowerTune functions as a protective case and stand as well. A couple of 500mW speakers ought to be enough for solitary enjoyment, but don’t expect it to bring the roof down anytime soon. Macally has slapped a $39.99 price tag for the PowerTune, which is a bargain IMHO.
