Erik Estrada aka “Ponch” hands out Bluetooth headsets

Posted on 20 June 2008 by techiediva

ponch.jpgWe missed it, but it appears LG Mobile handed out 1,000 Bluetooth headsets to L.A. drivers to promote driver safety. The “Red, White, & Bluetooth” event took place yesterday at the Petersen Automotive Museum on Wilshire Blvd.

As you know, California drivers will be required to use a hands-free device come July 1st when a new law goes into effect.  Erik Estrada, who is still famous for his role in the 1970′ TV show CHiPs was in attendance at the LG event, and IntoMobile got some pictures. The headset that was given away was the  LG HBM-76 which retails for $60. Not a bad gift for attendees braving the hot, hot weather.
