FC Mobile portable NES console

Posted on 28 April 2008 by BabyReaps

The FC Mobile portable NES console helps you carry around your favorite 8-bit memories without breaking the bank, although I would say the much more convenient method would be to just download a NES emulator on your computer and run games from there (you didn’t hear me say that now, did you?). Anyways, the FC Mobile portable NES console comes with an actual cartridge slot for old school NES carts, although Japanese Famicom ones won’t fit. The FC Mobile portable NES console will retail for less than $50. Woe to you if your mom has actually cleared out the attic of all your NES games and given it to the Salvation Army home. I suppose there is always room for some retro love, no matter how many bits we’ve come in the video game industry.

StereoStone Fountain Speaker

Posted on 28 April 2008 by BabyReaps

What you see here is the StereoStone Fountain Speaker - definitely not one of the masterpieces you’ll find in expensively assembled gardens around the world. Nevertheless, it has a hidden function, that is being an outdoor speaker. This 40″ water fountain holds a 250-watt, 8″ dual voice-coil outdoor speaker within, where a birdbath-type bowl will collect all running water and spew it back out of the leafed-pineapple right smack in the center. For $600, this nifty Fountain Speaker will light up with submersible low voltage lighting as you rock to your favorite tunes. Be careful where you place the speaker wire though as this isn’t wireless, but it makes for a welcome addition to any garden that needs some sprucing up.

Aquapac Waterproof Camera Case

Posted on 24 April 2008 by BabyReaps

Even regular point-and-shoot digital cameras deserve protection against the elements whenever you go out for a holiday. Take the Aquapac Waterproof Camera Case for example - it is perfect for beginners as well as intermediate shutterbugs who want to explore more than just land, and wouldn’t mind taking a dip into the deep abyss for a refreshing change in environment and subjects.

Designed to protect a compact, point-and-shoot digital camera, the Aquapac Waterproof Camera Case lets you take pictures with your camera still inside. Now you can use your camera without worry in wet weather, blowing sand or a while taking a dip in the pool.

It will retail for $29.95. Not too sure whether the plastic case will interfere with the image quality though - it does not look 100% transparent.

2 Carat Cup

Posted on 24 April 2008 by BabyReaps

Fool the rest of the office with the 2 Carat Cup. Yes, the handle itself is located a little bit lower than it normally is, enabling your ring finger to slip around it each time you take a sip of your favorite beverage. Good for laughs, but the more sensitive folk in the office will probably think you’re trying to be funny and they might actually come all decked out in their largest jewelry just to prove their point. This will make a very bad wedding proposal to your girlfriend on Valentine’s Day though, since such an event is suppose to be sacred and not funny. The 2 Carat Cup comes in white porcelain with gold or silver colored glaze and Swarovski rhinestone, and retails for $14.99. individually boxed.

Super Mario Singing Glow Star

Posted on 23 April 2008 by BabyReaps

The Super Mario Singing Glow Star adds some much needed personality to an otherwise boring looking work area.

Put one of these little beauties on your desk and anytime you need protection just hit the button on the back. The Star flashes on and off and plays the invincibility song just like the Super Mario Brothers game. Voilà! instant invincibility for the duration of the snappy little tune. We’re thinking the US military should invest in several million of these nifty Singing Glow Stars and employ some highly trained monkeys to continually hit the button on the back.

The Super Mario Singing Glow Star will retail for $17.99 a pop.

Goldstriker…strikes again

Posted on 22 April 2008 by BabyReaps

Goldstriker is a name synonymous with luxury, and this time round they have done yet another number on the iPhone. You won’t find this iPhone model studded with diamonds though, as Goldstriker decided to just give it a gold heavy treatment, calling it the Black Night Edition. Both the front bezel and Apple logo located on the back of the iPhone will be covered in precious 24 carat gold, and the paint job given is the same paint that is used in the Bentley diamond black metallic range for an added touch of luxury. You will have to dig relatively deep for this, as the 16GB 1.1.4 model will retail for £699.95.

Handheld Lightning Reaction for a shocking time

Posted on 21 April 2008 by BabyReaps

Think you’ve got lightning fast reflexes? Why not challenge yourself to a game of Handheld Lightning Reaction with the rest of your mates?

Each player grabs a handle from the base unit and braces himself/herself. Push the button in the centre and the music plays, building the suspense, whilst the red light flashes. When the light turns green and the music stops abruptly, make sure you’re not the last to hit your trigger button…or else you’re in for a nasty shock. An electric one, to be precise. If you’re quick enough you get to laugh at one of your mates getting electrocuted! Play with alcohol for best effect. Wicked!

Crazy party fun for $10? I’ll take one, no, make that two, thank you very much.
