Valentine’s Day is only three weeks away, and companies are celebrating by releasing the same gadgets in pink or red hues. Apple just introduced a rosy colored iPod nano in an 8GB capacity. Nothing else has changed on this tiny player, but if your boyfriend plans to surprise you on Valentine’s Day with a new pink iPod, he’ll have to shell out$199. The pink iPod now joins the the RED, black, green, blue, and silver nanos also available in 8GB capacities.

Intrestingly enough, we mentioned the Metronaps cocoons way back in 2006, so it was nice to see them at Macworld. This is the type of resting booth they should have at every show, workplace, spa, and school. Metronaps is still not available nationwide, but maybe someday they will be.

If you want to bling your iPod without spending thousands of dollars in gold cases lined with diamonds, there’s a cheaper alternative offered by Gilty Couture. The cases were on display at Macworld, including a gold case that’s not even on their website. The smaller cases that fit the iPod shuffle start at $55 and go all the way to $175 for a Swarovski lined iPod classic case. Check out some of the pics we took at Macworld.

You might have seen Vestalife’s Ladybug iPod Speaker Dock before. The spherical speaker opens up it’s wings to reveal a universal iPod dock that fits most iPod models. Well, the cute little speaker has gone all grunge on us for a limited edition the company hopes will appeal to skateboarders. Element and Vestalife teamed up and produced an edgier Ladybug featuring two designs, one for guys and one for the gals. A black version with a skull and crossbones was on display at Macworld, which I understand is the more male-friendly edition, while a sky blue Ladybug with paisleys is meant to attract the gals. I personally like the black version a lot better than the blue version, but that’s just me. A representative for Vestalife tells me the new Ladybug will be available next month for $110, so keep your eyes peeled if you want one for your sk8ter boyfriend. Continue Reading

I love buying totes, and cases to fit my laptops, but my problem is either the bag is ugly and practical or beautiful but not very protective. Great looking laptop bags seldom get it right, but I couldn’t help being drawn to Urban Junket’s sexy styles at Macworld because they just looked so glamorous from across the room. I asked designer Tracy Dyer what inspired her to create such a stylish, feminine laptop bag, and she told me women she spoke to in focus groups just wanted a better looking bag for their notebooks. The bags don’t offer much protection for your laptop, but they do include a special waterproof sleeve inside to keep any liquids away from your notebook. These Italian leather bags come in different styles and colors, and fit laptops up to 14-inches. They are a bit pricey, but if you catch them at Macworld, you just might be able to get a nice discount. Check out the pictures after the jump. Continue Reading
