Most of us think of batteries as being hard stuff, but this Paper Battery certainly throws the equation out of the loop. Measuring a mere 0.5mm in thickness, this unique battery can be rolled just like paper. It was developed by scientist Zhang Xiachang and will be participating in the 2007 International Forum on New Material Research and Industry Development that will be held in Wenzhou, China on Thursday. What are some of the more practical uses that you can think of for a paper battery? Slimmer devices and gadgets are a start, and we all know how women (and men) love slim stuff.

Seems that babies love being rocked to sleep, but how many parents actually have enough energy left at the end of a long hard day to do just that? Most of the time, you get a sleepy parental unit with a hand that rocks the cradle in a rather robotic manner while trying to catch a quick forty winks. The Lullabub is here to help you out - it is an automated solution that comes with a 30-minute timer, featuring four movement choices - mother’s womb, mother’s heartbeat, a boat on the water, or a ride in the car. The Lullabub retails for $199 and comes with a night light and independent suspension.

Looks like the Motorola Z8 will not escape Ferrari’s prancing horse logo as the Italian exotic supercar manufacturer has decided to team up with Motorola to produce a limited edition Ferrari Motorola Z8 slider cellphone. Needless to say, it is similar hardware-wise to all other Motorola Z8s, save for the fact that you get envious stares coming your way because of the Ferrari logo emblazoned on the handset itself, with other extras like exclusive Ferrari screensavers, wallpapers and user interface themes to cause further jealousy. No word on how much this slider handset costs though, but it will be released in Q1 next year.

If you’re a worry wart who happen to own a dog, perhaps the Zoombak GPS Locator is the right gadget for you. Weighing a mere 2.5 ounces, the Zoombak GPS Locator will attach to your dog’s collar comfortably, featuring a durable and secure pouch. Your pooch’s location can be pinpointed online on Zoombak.com, through a cellphone or even live customer care, although I think it would be pretty irresponsible to let Fido run around unsupervised just because you want to catch up on the latest TV shows in your living room. The Zoombak GPS Locator retails for $199 and is completely water resistant, featuring a 5-day standby battery.

The Ayur Chair that you see here supposedly provides “perfect lumbar support while ergonomically lifting and separating your butt checks for optimum comfort.” Has anyone tried it out to support its claims? I suppose it would make the entire process of letting out a killer fart silently, but you’d best make yourself scarce once the foul bomb has been deployed. The Ayur Chair looks and sounds like an unnecessary luxury, especially when you consider its $500 price tag.

If you have managed to bring your girlfriend or wife over to the dark side of gaming by letting her ditch the Nintendo Wii in favor of the more mature Xbox 360, why not complete the transformation with this lovely pink color Xbox 360 wireless controller? It retails for $49.99 and was developed by Microsoft themselves. My only gripe is this - what took them so long? For those who want nothing but an extended gaming session with their loved ones can also pick up a matching pink rechargeable battery pack for $11.99.

A utility tool and flash drive with 1GB of space makes this dog tag necklace a great toy for teens and/or geeks. Tiger Direct offers it for just under $30 and it has a sleek black and brushed silver look to it.
The dog tag looks is made perfect by equipping one part with tools you can use like a stainless steel screwdriver, pliers and a can opener. The other portion is the USB removable thumb drive casing.
The LED flashlight and memory status light all serve to make the gadget fun to use and convenient in situations where you might need more than just your usual electronics that you carry. Be prepared!

Too bad they are currently sold out. You can look for them to return to the site, though, if you want a talking Japanese watch. It will speak up and tell you the time in Japanese (maybe you can learn a bit while you sort through if you’re late to work or not) and keep you in the know.
In bright colors with a display of the time below the speaker, these cute watches might be just what you’re looking for. The Fred Flare site has a wish list, too, so you can let others know how much you want one.
