Female gamers could be said to be a maligned and misunderstood bunch - and there is a new faceplate for the Xbox 360 that helps straighten things out. This face plate mentions “My girlfriend kicked my ass at Halo”, and would make a great gift for pussy whipped geeks. Hopefully there are other better mottos and slogans to come by in the near future. This faceplate is currently up for grabs on eBay for $24.99.

If you’re winding down from a day at work and you avoided the Cyber Monday rush to buy gifts online, you might decide to do some late night shopping. Most Cyber Monday sales will end at midnight and you don’t want to miss out on the last minute savings, do you?
A few skeptics feel this isn’t the huge day that it used to be. Reuters quotes Ken Cassar, an analyst with Nielsen Online, as saying:
"Because the vast majority of online users have access from home via
broadband, it’s less necessary that they wait to get to work to begin
their holiday shopping."
Well, we’ll continue to keep you up on the finest gadgets here at Techie Diva, but while you wait for the season’s hottest finds, you might visit these sites and take advantage of the sales they offer for this online shopping day.
Tiger Direct has a Monday Madness Sale with a Dual Core HP Laptop, 19" Widescreen LCD and more offered at great deals.
Best Buy started their sale on Sunday to extend the time. They have a $100 savings on all TomTom GPS receivers, free shipping on laptops over a certain price and all iPod and MP3 players are on sale.
And another popular site, Staples, has a sale also. A 22" LCD monitor for only $179.99 and many more listings to tempt your shopping fever.
Happy Cyber Monday!

The folks at Steampunk Workshop have definitely outdone themselves with this stamp-covered keyboard. Unless you have already memorized the key placement on the keyboard, this is best avoided by n00bs. Ultimately, your knowledge in history will definitely come in handy as Quincy Adams stands for "Q" while Washington is for "W", so on and so forth. I wonder who took the "X" and "Z" spots?

Christmas is just around the corner (can you believe it, yet another year has passed us by) and what better way to usher in the yuletide mood than with this unique Christmas ornament? While it doesn’t work as a mouse anymore, it does feature hand painted words "Not a Creature Was Stirring…" on the front along with tiny dots "leading you to a little hand painted mouse on the side and tied up with a bow and holiday berries." This creative DIY effort retails for $5 from Etsy.

Pests are the bane of any homemaker, but thankfully technology has advanced to a stage where even the most battle-hardened pest is not a match for what scientists conjure up in their laboratories. The Riddex Pro Pest Repeller uses no harmful chemicals to rid your house of pests, relying instead on electromagnetic technology to keep rodents and roaches at bay. All you need for a single floor is one plug-in unit, boasting an integrated night light and on/off switch. The Riddex Pro retails for $19.98 each.

I’ve always hated thermometers as doctors tend to place them in places you wished to keep private, and the Thermofocus from Kidz-Med could be heaven sent as it boasts the title of "the first thermometer to take accurate body temperature readings without touching the body". This is made possible by reading infrared heat emanating from a person’s forehead, resulting in accurate results comparable to those when a rectal thermometer (ouch!) is used. The Thermofocus can also be used to take the temperatures of baby formula, bath water, and food.
