The X-Micro Video MP3 player is an oval-shaped digital audio player that comes in the form of a necklace. Features include a 65k color OLED display (which is more than enough considering the small screen size), an integrated FM radio, a digital voice recorder function, and MP3/WMA file format support. Not only that, it is compatible with WMV, MPEG 4, and AVI video formats, although you won’t be sitting through Lord of the Rings on such a tiny display.
I’ll try not to nitpick here, but I wonder how come X-Micro named this device a Video MP3 player when they could have just taken the tried and true route of being a necklace-style portable media player? Or MP4 player as plenty of Asian manufacturers are wont to use. Still, this is one piece of tech bling that you wouldn’t want to wear in a sweltering environment as you never know just how your sweat might seep in and screw up the whole thing. The X-Micro Video MP3 will come in various capacities of 256MB, 512MB, and 1GB.
