I came across an article that pointed me to CNet UK Crave’s list of the "Top 10 Geek Girls." Among the contenders were Ada Bryon (the world’s first programmer), Val Tereshkova (the first woman in space), Grace Hopper (wrote first compiler), and Marie Curie (who discovered radium and polonium). The names on list sound great, until the author includes Daryl Hannah (Eco-Friendly Geek Icon), Lisa Simpson (cartoon), and…Paris Hilton (Famous Girl "Gamer)? Whoa. Now I know writers like to be a bit controversial, but there’s a fine line between raising eyebrows and insulting women everywhere. A list of Top Ten Nerds and Geeks was also created, and guess what? Not one single woman was on the list. So I want to know, where are all the geek girls, for real? I did a little research, and guess what? There are plenty of geek girls to talk about.

Remember the old Nike iPod Hack post? Well, Engadget found a new cool Nike iPod accessory called the Nike Amp on the 2007 Men’s Health Tech Guide. For around $80 you can buy this new Bluetooth wristband and not have mess around with your iPod while running, like the old armband. This wristband has a LED display that illuminates from below the mesh of the band. So it is hidden while you are running, but you can still display the song, race pace, distance, and duration. In the picture you can see a little bit of red lettering, that is the LED display. No news on when it is coming up, but my guess is that you will see it at MacWorld in January.

I am in love with camo. stuff right now and this Sony Z530i is a perfect match to my likes. It comes in either black or pink camo and is being sold through Boost Mobile. With a VGA camera, and MP3 player, Bluetooth capabilities and a rockin’ sleek look, the Z530i will be a big seller.
Many have found this phone online for around $140 and I hope it is released to other services so I can take advantage of the look myself. In addition to the phone, they are offering a free pair of limited edition Skullcandy HESH headphones with a matching color/design.
That just sweetens the deal for someone that’s seeking a good quality phone with some style.

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a web content syndication format (XML-based) that is used for content distribution. Confused yet? I was until I started learning more about RSS. This is the best way I can describe it to my friends in order for them to understand: Television controllers allow you to set certain buttons on your remote for a specific TV station. Heck even, your local news has a certain button for you to turn to watch the news i.e. Channel 3 news at 6 o’ clock. So you press channel 3 and boom, you’re there.
RSS is KIND of like that for the web. RSS is better than TV channel saving, it’s like a TIVO. TV channel saving just saves the TV station number, unless you have a TIVO (DVR). A TIVO allows you to record specific shows that you want to watch. That is what RSS does. It records any new changes to a particular website that you frequently go to and it automatically updates for you. It basically narrows down any new updates to the website. RSS is used for a number of news websites, blogs, and vlogs (video blogs).
So how do you subscribe to a website? Well first the webmaster must have an RSS feed for you to subscribe to. Those feeds are buttons on the website where you click to subscribe. (Like the picture above)

Hasbro has the i-Dog, i-Fish and my favorite the i-Cat and now…can someone add more? Sure! Outrageous Internationals’ Hip-Pop Pets has done just that to keep your music-loving children occupied.
A Frog, an Owl, a Pig and of course the usual Dog have been released and they don’t take much battery power for some entertainment. Just three AA’s and you’re ready to go. Standing at 6.75- x 6.0- x 7.0-inches they are a good size for a table or the floor…or take them to your in-law’s house to make lots of noise and distractions while you eat tons of food. Nobody will notice, right?

One person that purchased the toy said that the sound quality wasn’t that great but the toy was cute. Another on the site said they wished for more choices, but these are already added to many that I’ve seen out there. I’m sure there’s not an end to the creativity we’ve already seen.
At $19.99 each (if you hurry they are on sale for $14.99!) they feature two modes of play. Speaker mode for music to be blasted and enjoyed and interactive mode so that you can add sound effects to your chosen tracks as they play.

Oi has a laptop bag that will make those of us who enjoy a little "class" in our day, drool. Although that probabl won’t be very classy, this laptop bag comes to us with full features and a great clean look.

Going from the office to other outings will be easy with this black and sleek bag. The Oi site shows you the details but let me give them to you in short form. You get an AirGEL-cushioned bag that includes, as a bonus compared to some sleek bags, dedicated pockets for not just your laptop, but also your cellphone and room for makeup or miscellaneous things.
Also, there’s a leather plaited handle to class the look up even more. Costs are listed at £60 which is around $115.50. A great gift idea for the girl who has all the gadgets and just needs the accessories.

With candycane Red and Christmas tree Green available, who’s going to stick with Chocolate? I’m not sure which of the colors will be the most popular but I do know it’s nice to see some changes happen, right before the holidays. I think it’s actually "Cherry" and "Mint" but who’s into details?

You saw it come out in white, now they are adding a few more options. The same sleek look and great features, the LG Chocolate is in good shape. Black, white, cherry and mint gives you more gift giving ideas than you probably need. I love the Cherry color the most…what’s your favorite?
Visit the Verizon sites to find a $50 rebate that makes this phone only $99 after the mail-in.
