At the Digital Life Expo in New York, October 12-15th, a few products were unveiled for the upcoming holiday season. We have seen new colors from the iPod line and now the docks that make them so much fun to use are getting some changes.

One of the products that came across the press release wire was the mStation Orb products. In the past we reported the black and white models along with the tower, all with 2.1 stereo and remote controls. 8" in diameter with 30 watts of peak power, the Orb will bring some style to any room.
Now, they are being released in bright colors. Watch the mStation site for more details to come and the stores that will be carrying them, some accept pre-orders. Look for them the first week of December.

The iShok case line has just increased to include the 4GB Video iPod model. The site says, "The patent pending iShok⢠design combines a unique combination of Impact Grade Polycarbonate Plastic and Soft Thermoplastic Overmolded Rubber to protect your iPod from accidental impacts, scratches and dents while cushioning the device to safeguard the sensitive electronics inside. NOW adding Water and Dust resistant all weather protection."
Claiming 360 degree Armored Protection for your iPod, the iShok case has "Shok" absorbent rubber that keeps your iPod safe. It covers the outside of the case to improve grip and then flows to the inside to protect your investment.
It’s a two-piece design and most of the cases we feature here hug the iPod or keep you from accessing controls, in some cases. This case allows you to just open the face to control your iPod while staying on the product and keeping it from the elements. Protected by water, dust and impacts but still able to use the click wheel via the design.
Visit the main site to see all the other capabilities of this specially designed case.

In order to continue the theme of Breast Cancer month. Target has a pink digital video camera available for a really reasonable price ($ 139.99). It is the DXG 305V. This camera records MPEG-4 videos onto the 16MB flash memory or on the external SD/MMC card slot. The videos can be replayed on the cute small 1.5" LCD screen. It runs on 4 AAA batteries instead of the typical lithium. It records the video in 15 fps or 30 fps with a 4x digital zoom. This cheap priced video camera also is a voice recorder, digital camera, and a MP3 player. Sounds like a good bang for the buck. Nick

The lovely silver PS2 that has been over in Japan and Europe for some time now, since 2005, will be released to the United States shores by October 24th. Finally some style and sleekness to the PS2 console.

Pre-orders are rumored to be taken by Gamestop and other vendors for around $129.99 but the timing is odd. The silver PS2 will be shipped three weeks prior to the long awaited release of the PS3. With only the standard wires and one single controller, the silver PS2 might still hold some attention for a gamer that hasn’t yet enjoyed the original PS2, but I feel a serious gamer will be waiting for the PS3 release.
Honestly, it probably will take some saving to get all the components if the PS3 is anything like the XBox releases I have seen. The basic package is not enough…the accessories will steal your bank a bit.

Electroscoot is for all your environmentalists, or the people who just don’t want to pay for the always increasing gas prices here in the US. This light weight lithium ion battery powered scooter can range 12 miles to 30miles (20km-50km) with only costing around 50 cents per 30 miles (50km). The restricted max speed for this is around 18mph (20kmh), so it is classified as a bike not a scooter. So, no helmet is needed either, but here at Techiediva we think ‘better save than sorry’, so use the helmet. The battery can be easily removed and recharged in 6 hours. Plus, you don’t have to pay for parking!! However, you will have to pay 1,500 pounds if you want it. Nick
