DaimlerChrysler & Design

Posted on 29 October 2006 by Annie-san

DaimlerChrysler showed off a concept car last year which was modeled after the actual fish named "boxfish".  The fish is named for its shape which gives it both speed and agility.  The Mercedes Benz car will be released to the streets and with its strange but conceptual design, who knows what will follow.

A team of engineers and scientists worked on the design and have now seemed to have copied the cube shape of the fish while still keeping the car itself aerodynamic.  According to the company, the car improves aerodynamics of current car designs by more than 65 percent.  The object is that this will save over 20% in fuel costs.

Agility, speed, concept…I like all of that.  Watch for the boxfish type car on your streets soon.
