Wouldn’t this be nice to have one of these at work? Metronaps’ pods is for the powernappers who end up taking a quick rest in their car during lunchtime to get through the rest of the day. The pod’s spherical shape cocoons your upper body creating a semi-private enviroment to sleep in. It also features Bose Quiet Comfort 2 headphones to enhance your experience. Waking up is also a gentle process, as the pod vibrates and lights up to let you know its time to go back to work. I think every company and airport should have one of these, but unfortunately, they’re only available in New York. Any of you New Yorkers tried them out?

Are you one of those karaoke volunteers that sings your heart out at bars and local spots? Do you find yourself shy but you still enjoy singing in the privacy of your own home? Do you find that singing around friends makes you more comfortable?

Any of these are good reasons to buy the new iKaraoke by Griffin Technology. Due to be released this winter, the iKaraoke puts the ease of karaoke into the palm of your hand and couples with your iPod to make things even easier.
Pause the music, scan forward or backward, temporarily add vocals back into the song, add reverb effects to your performance and many more options. iKaraoke sends the music from your iPod to your stereo, removing the lead vocals, to enhance your karaoke experience.
Wirelessly through your FM receiver or via a line-in cable, this cute gadget will make a great gift for those on your winter holiday list.

For those of you who have explored the world of YouTube, you know how strangely fascinating those random blips of people’s lives can be or just how joyful you feel after the shove down Memory Lane brought on by that obscure clip from your favorite childhood TV show (Muppet Show, anyone?). Do you ever think to yourself, “It sure would be nice to have this on my iPod to view later…” Well, look no further than TubeSock, a downloadable application with an oh-so-clever name that will convert your favorite YouTube videos and render them playable on your iPod, Mac, or PlayStation Portable. It’s simple and easy to use; just copy and paste the URL of your favorite clip into the application, convert and voila! Your video is available on your favorite portable device or if you don’t yet own a video iPod, save it onto your Mac for later viewing. Check website for more details.

It may not beat the Elmo TMX when it comes to over-the-top robotic functions, but the Robo Cat aka Yume-Neko Smile (Dream Cat Smile to you) is hoping to replace your current feline friend. The dream cat, who looks more like a stuffed cat, has five sensors throughout his body that react to your touch. Pet his head and the kitty will start purring or stroke his back to put him to sleep. Just imagine, a cat you don’t have to feed, bathe, or care for all the time. Watch the video to see how it works.

It’s still all very strange to me, but while at Sephora, I spotted the most ridiculous, yet stangely alluring lipstick charm for your mobile. Burjois offers them in every shade of pink, and they have that cell phone string so you can hang it from your cell. I struggled with the idea of buying one, because on the one hand, you’ll always look gorgeous with shiny lips, but the tiny tube cost a whopping $9. Forget it, I stuck with my Dior lipgloss, which comes in a bigger container and in a rad shade.

Moco Loco spotted the game shells and garden gnomes from Vitamin which just launched a lifestyle product line. The purpose? To shelter and hide those Playstation controllers you leave laying around all over the place.
