Ok, not really…but I find this whole concept on the Silence of the Lambs, CREEPY side, so I’ll be brief. The bag to your left is called Skinbag, it protects your laptop and it’s made of synthetic stretchy double skin that is creased, tattooed, and even pierced to give it a realistic look.
"The bags dedicated to electronic machines are waterproof and proctective jackets and become autonomous organisms. They anticipate the fusion between the digital and the organic."
From organic to technological…a mutated body.
SkinBag is offered as a mutation proposal.
Why does the body not consciously re-shape, programme its recomposition, equip it with artificial limbs to optimise it, in the way we add memory stacks and peripheral extensions to a computer to gain its optimum performance.
With SkinBag-computer or SkinBag-pixels-banane, computers and cameras (technological accessories which are increasingly indispensable in our day to day life) are protected by ‘organic cases’; suggesting a fusion between the digital and the organic, between technology and human matter ? ‘Covering our machines with an organic skin is,’ according to Olivier Goulet, ‘the first symbolic step towards the superficial integration of electronic prosthetics in our body

Nasty. Way, way nasty.
What will be next? iPod cases made of shed fingernails? USB snow-globes filled with dandruff? Ugh! What were they thinking?

You just have to ask yourself: “Why??”

Please let’s nip this in the bud right now! Let’s not take this idea any further, shall we?
It’s not funny or cute, or “freedom-of-speech” “okay”, and should fly off into the ether, never to make any reappearance whatsoever.

Because nothing says Im Hip, Im Here, Im Now, like a laptop bag made of human skin
Or fake human skin even. Techiediva has the details:
The bags dedicated to electronic machines are waterproof and proctective jackets and become autonomous organisms. They anticipate the fusion between the digital and the organic.

Great, laptop cases for the “Leatherface” and Jeffrey Dahmer set. Cases like this are not witty, funny, or even a converstaion starter, unless you are trying to attract wild dogs, perverts, or members of the goth-grave-death crowd.

This looks weird. I’m remninded in Look to Windward of the protangonist (or one of many) who while as Masaq’ orbital picked up a old standing order for a leatherneck made from cloned skin. (cloned from the protangonist.)
Can we get that in the future?
